Can you cook in a tent with the door open?
Ventilation is the key and making sure that the wind doesn’t blow the gas out. Cooking in an open porch using a gas or an electrical appliance as seen in the pic above will be fine IMHO, as it is well ventilated. I would strongly advise to keep the heating source/naked flame well away from the tent though.
